Scott “Rollin” Hills is an award-winning singer, drummer, guitarist, and songwriter who is as familiar with blues and jazz, as he is with current popular music. Since the age of four, he has performed in most every musical situation. From doing studio session singing, where a four year old's voice was required, to backing up some of his heroes on a festival main stage.

"That boy sounds better than the Wolf..."

Long time Howling Wolf guitarist Hubert Sumlin on hearing Scott “Rollin” Hills sing one of Wolf’s songs.

Currently, Scott is working on his debut solo album with partner and friend Christian Devoin of Prairie Flower Productions in Winnipeg. His plan is to finish the record and start touring in early 2008. Scott has produced an independent video for an unreleased track with the help of Prairie Flower Productions and more video plans are in the works.

Scott “Rollin” Hills has performed with such notables as the Perpetrators, Big Dave McLean, Nigel Mack, Hubert Sumlin, Jody Williams (Bo Didley, Muddy Waters), Brent Parkin, Lisa Bell, Sue Foley, and the Downchild Blues Band. He won a Western Canadian Music Alliance (WCMA) Award for "Best Blues Recording" in 2005 and has been nominated for a Juno Award for "Best Blues Recording" and a WCMA Award "Best Blues Recording" in 2006, and two Maple Blues Awards for "Best Electric Act in 2004 and 2006 as a member of local Winnipeg blues band the Perpetrators.

"Serena Postel is the real deal....unbridled soul, bottomless energy and captivating intensity, it's what they call real talent. You can't teach what she's got at the core of her music; you either have it or you don't. She has it in spades."

Aaron Garner, Singer-songwriter,Toronto

"Serena is a hurricane force vortex of emotion, her ferocious performances are something to behold and be reckoned with."

Dan Frechette, Singer-songwriter, Winnipeg

"Serena Postel possess a raw, feminine talent of which the music world in in dire need. Her rapier wit is a formidable weapon in both her lyricism and her stage banter. She is Winnipeg's firecracker."

Nathan Rogers, Singer-songwriter, Winnipeg

Riddled with a manic propensity for introspection, this Winnipeg born and raised singer-songwriter began her musical journey by grabbing an abandoned back-lane guitar and going toe-to-toe poetically with her own reflection and imagination.

Soon after, local film producer Kevin Doherty discovered Serena busking the streets of Winnipeg. Surprised and verily impressed with her fire, he invited her to provide some music for a project he was casting. Not only was her song Lullaby used in Doherty's 2007 film release, Wild Turkeys, but sensing a certain je ne sais quoi, he later cast her as the bitchy store clerk in the film (Cinderella happily wore the slipper).

Serena has lent her voice to other Manitoba musicians such as Jet Set Satellite for an acoustic remake of a song from their first record also featuring Martha Wainwright. She also provided backup vocals for renowned multi-talent Scott Hinkson's 2006 full length release of Tracking Outside In.

Hinkson and Serena’s mutual respect and appreciation for each others music led to his producing her debut release entitled Spare Change (November 2006). Hinkson truly captured the essence and haunting elements of the many moods of Serena's music on this EP. Spare Change offers rich textures of fierce guitar riffs, e-bow leads, smooth arrangements which never overshadow Serena's powerful voice that together is pleasing to a broad spectrum of genres.

Serena is an intense performer and tears into her songs. Her disarming sense of humour, playful wit and teasing nature, balance her deeply contemplative and raw lyrics. Serena endures in the mind of anyone who has had the pleasure of experiencing her live and are left with a personal sense or relationship to her and her songs, no matter what the venue size.

Home recently from a successful tour in Canada's West Coast, Serena is preparing for the festival season with summer ending and fall beginning on an extended Canadian Tour. Serena's homecoming will take her back to the studio where plans for her second, full length, release are already underway.
